Trying to communicate with my Teen is best described by the following feeling or situation: root-canal, ingrown toenail extraction, drama, frustration, pain, shouting, screaming, rage, anger, fun, crazy, joy, confusion, schizophrenic, bipolar, depressed, desire to move to Baghdad, kicking the family dog.

The teen years can be some of the most frustrating and exhilarating times for both parent and teen. Looking for answers and really finding workable solutions can lead a parent to think they are going to implode or just go a little crazy.

Parents often respond in frustration, arguments, screaming, threats and loss of control is the result. The response of the teens is most often the same. So what’s the answer? Where can you look for a solution?

We will be looking at practical ways to help you communicate more effectively. There are answers that work. You can continue to be frustrated and live with the shouting, threats and ineffective discipline or make a date to attend.
